Please Treat Pharmacy Teams with Respect
From the 5th October to 25th October 2026, community pharmacies across England are supporting a national NHS campaign encouraging patients and the public to treat pharmacy teams with respect.
The campaign highlights a simple but important message: pharmacy staff are here to help, and respectful behaviour helps create a safer and more positive environment for both patients and pharmacy teams.
Our pharmacy team is here to help
Community pharmacy teams support patients every day with prescriptions, medicines, health advice and NHS pharmacy services.
At times, pharmacies can be busy and some situations may take longer to resolve than expected. Pharmacy teams may also need time to carry out professional checks, contact another healthcare professional or deal with issues affecting the supply of medicines.
Whatever the situation, our team will always aim to help you as effectively as possible.
Thank you for treating our team with respect
Everyone working in a pharmacy should be able to carry out their role in a safe and respectful environment.
The national campaign asks patients and visitors to communicate respectfully with pharmacy staff while they are helping with prescriptions, medicines and other healthcare needs. This supports pharmacy professionals in carrying out their work safely and helps create a positive environment for patients and staff alike.
You may see the NHS campaign message in pharmacies, on pharmacy websites and across social media between the 5th and 25th October 2026.
We are here to help you
If you have a question about your medicines, prescription or one of our pharmacy services, please speak to a member of our team.
We appreciate your patience, understanding and respect while we work to support you and other patients.
Thank you for treating our pharmacy team with respect.
